In Andorra you have a lot of wildlife for example bears, wolves, foxes and eagles. Most of the wildlife can be found in the isolated areas of Andorra. The mountain streams contain trout, pike and crayfish. The cattle, a member of bos genus family, are the national animal of Andorra.They are the most widespread domesticated animals in the world. There are various breeds of Andorra’s national animal such as the Jersey, Hereford, shorthorn Holstein Friesian among many others. The color of cows also vary, with each breed having a distinctive color unique from others.The valleys in Andorra offer green grasslands for the animals to graze on so that farmers do not have to waste a lot of money on feed to keep the animals alive. Sheep and goats can be seen grazing in the spring and summer, while in the fall the cattle help to clean the excess grass off the land. Meat and milk are two of the number one food items that farmers get from the animals that are raised. Fish are also prevalent in Andorra. There are many freshwater streams and ponds for the fish to live in. trout are the most numerous of all the fish in Andorra. The state has animal fairs where people will buy and sell their animals and the products the animals produce. This is one of the main ways that people make a living in Andorra. Most of the fairs are held in the fall after all of the land has been cleared and plowed by the animals.
